Sturm Herbrechtingen offers as one of the great German saw mills CE labelled sawn-wood. Hence from now visually as well as automatically stress-graded sawn-wood can be obtained by the Swabian family enterprise.

The beginning of July 2008 was start date for the production of CE labelled sawn-wood. So Sturm stands in the forefront of Germany´s saw mills which provides sawn-wood according to EN 14081.

The executive directors Hans-Günther Sturm and Matthias Sturm report that from now visually as well as automatically stress-graded sawn-wood according to EN 14081 are continuosly available. The executive board views a great potential particularly for the export of automatically stress-graded sawn-wood (L-catagories). This assessment is based on the current trend of demand for CE certified sawn-wood from abroad which shaped up favorably over the last months. This is also the reason why the production of automatically stress-graded sawn-wood will be further extended in the current year. The Strum group expands with the CE certification its range of products. From now the custommers can choose between automatically stress-graded sawn-wood according to EN 14081 (L25, L30, L36, L40) and DIN 4047 (C24M [MS10], C35M [MS13] and C40M [MS17].
